3-Piece Solid Bamboo Duvet Cover Set - Charcoal

Bamboo sheets are made from the pulp of fast-growing bamboo plants, processed into soft viscose or lyocell fibers that create silky, breathable fabrics ideal for bedding. Unlike regular cotton sheets, which come directly from the cotton plant and offer a crisp, breathable feel that softens over time, bamboo sheets are smoother from the start—like silk or cashmere—with round fibers that reduce friction on skin and hair.

Key differences include bamboo's superior temperature regulation and moisture-wicking for year-round comfort (especially for hot sleepers), natural hypoallergenic and antimicrobial properties that resist bacteria and odors better than cotton, and greater sustainability since bamboo grows rapidly without pesticides.

Terrera's bamboo sheets are sustainable because they use certified organic viscose from bamboo, a fast-growing plant that requires no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, helping preserve soil health, reduce water contamination, and build biologically rich agriculture. The production employs a closed-loop process that recycles water and recaptures chemicals, minimizing waste and pollution, while low-impact, non-toxic OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified dyes ensure no harmful substances enter ecosystems or your home. Terrera's ethical practices—like audited factories and sea shipping—further lower the ecological footprint across the supply chain.

Bamboo has a softer, silkier texture than cotton. Cotton tends to be stiffer, and can be scratchy. Bamboo fabric tends to last longer, keeping its shape and colour longer than cotton fabrics. Cotton retains heat more than bamboo - so for warmer summer weather, cotton sheets may provide an uncomfortable warm night's sleep. Bamboo fabric is airy and breathable, perfect for all seasons!

Wash bamboo sheets in cold water on a delicate/gentle cycle using a mild, liquid detergent to avoid damaging fibers. Wash them separately from abrasive items like towels or zippers to prevent pilling. Line drying is best to preserve fabric, but they can be tumble-dried on low heat. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach. We recommend to remove immediately from the dryer and put on the bed when it's warm to keep the sheets flat and reduce the look of wrinkles.
