4 Fun Fall Activities to do this October in Ontario

The first few days of fall in Canada have arrived and the festivities are beginning! From fall hikes and apple picking to pumpkin carving, here are some creative and festive ways to celebrate the season of harvest in Ontario.

1. Explore the beautiful changing colours of autumn foliage

There are so many beautiful parks and trails in Ontario that become incredibly scenic with changing fall colours as the temperatures get cooler. Here are our favourite places to go paired with some cozy picks to stay stylish in for the road trip. 

Dundas Peak in Hamilton is a true spectacle especially in the fall. The hike up to the peak is not too strenuous but reaps a gorgeous view of Dundas, Ontario. For a foresty hike in the woods, the Durham Regional Forest is a magical place to go. The forest encompasses a 596 hectar area located at the top of the Oak Ridges Moraine and is a popular spot for cross-country skiing, mountain miking, hiking and horseback riding. 2. Go Apple Picking or Visit a Pumpkin Patch

The apples are ripe! The orchards are open for apple picking and often times the apple orchards have other special additions like pumpkin patches and places for kids to play.
